The History of Brown’s
After 24 years of dedicated service with the NJNG Company, “Brownie” and Joyce Brown began a full time business as a residential HVAC company in Monmouth and Ocean County. Initially, in August 1977, along with the help and support of his wife, Joyce, this one-man company was run from their home in Shrewsbury. By 1979, the business had quickly grown due to Brownie’s strong work ethic, quality service, and love for people. It was then that the business moved to 4 Patterson Avenue, Shrewsbury.
Brown’s, now a leading HVAC company in NJ, serving the Monmouth County area, it continued over the years to grow to the well-established entity it is today. In 2002, both Brownie & Joyce passed away, leaving the business to Carolyn, their daughter, who is President and owner. Because of her wealth of knowledge in the HVAC industry, she has developed this second generation company into an acquisition of a customer base of over 17,000 residents of Monmouth & Ocean counties. The manufacturer’s, supply houses, and dealerships have a deep and sincere respect for her commitment to the growth and development of the HVAC industry locally.
November 2020, President & Owner for 25 years, Carolyn Brown passes away leaving behind family and friends who miss her loving spirit. Brown’s begins a new chapter in it’s life, moving ahead without Carolyn’s guidance, but will always hold tight to her vision.
