Some say I grew up in the business, I have also pursued other interests in my life. These experiences in my past career and in my education have only helped me in bringing this company into the next decade. I’ve worked for the family business full time for about 15 years and in that time I’ve worked in the rebates and warranties department, accounting and customer service department answering the phone. At the end of the day, I’ve washed tarps, emptied trash and cleaned bathrooms—I get the gritty side, and so alongside this great staff I am humbly looking forward to our bright future. We see our customers and employees as extended family. We emphasize customer relationships and want all our customers to feel both cared for and appreciated. When you work with Brown’s, you get the same guarantee that was established nearly 50 years ago by my parents Mr. and Mrs. Brown. I started at Browns over 18 years ago as a young guy and parts runner. Within a year I worked my way up to a lead installer running jobs. I now manage the Installation department making sure all jobs are done to Browns standards. I’m a dedicated family man who enjoys surfing, my family, and I really care about the company I work for. My goal is to treat our customers and employees like family.
Over the years, I have worked as subcontractor on a few occasions for Brown’s, so the transition to a full time position felt great. I believe in this company and I know with this team, we’re only going up. I love the work I do—in essence I make sure my colleagues have what they need to run their departments and succeed, while always looking for ways to excel in the how’s of business—does it work and can we do it better and more efficient. I look forward to a great future for all of us here at Brown’s!
Chris Stumbers, Field Controller Wow…Its difficult to believe 11 years has passed since I began working for Brown’s! Back then, I was working as an HVAC service technician, also helping to expand the plumbing department which the company had recently developed. After many years of serving our customer base and getting to know all of you, I’m proud to say I am now Field Controller for this company which I love. As such, I strive to push each of our technicians to provide the customer service and technical know-how you expect from the Brown’s name, all while respecting your home and building a trusting relationship with you. After all, like I often tell my service team, “The difference between ordinary and extraordinary… is that little extra.”
I have been with the Brown’s family for over 2 years managing permits in our install department and prior to that I spent another 3 years in dispatch and client services. I always seek to exude team spirit by lending a hand in other areas like service parts ordering and following up with clients, assisting walk in customers and handling all service with a smile. I love lending my strengths to all the folks I work with here and I look forward to continued success with the Brown’s team.
Sue has been with Brown’s for nearly 3 years and is such a wonderful asset to us and to our clients. Always busy, she’s answering client questions and setting appointments. She also manages with great talent a very robust service agreement portfolio here at Brown’s. We offer maintenance agreements on nearly every type of HVAC and plumbing appliance and she is the one to talk to if you are interested in service agreements. In her spare time, she is busy with her gorgeous grandchildren, loves to cook and always in her garden in the nicer weather here in NJ.
Yolanda joined the team here at Browns during the Spring of 2020. When you call in, chances are you will hear Yolanda’s voice on the other end. Yolanda keeps our techs moving along in their day and books many of our client’s appointments. She comes to Brown’s with years of experience in dispatching & customer service and we are pleased to have her on board. She has wonderful energy and gives every request her personal and caring attention. If you have spoken to her you already know this!
